Van Zandt Hawn

Managing Director

Van co-founded GHJ&M in 1989 after spending ten years at Piper Jaffray as a Managing Director in corporate finance, where he focused on public underwritings and merger and acquisition advice.

Van's career began as a corporate lawyer with Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Paris. He graduated from Williams College and the University of Virginia School of Law and is a member of the bar in New York and Minnesota.

Van currently serves on the board of GHJ&M portfolio company Transport America. Former community board affiliations include the Minnesota Children's Museum, The Blake School and the Minnesota Orchestra.
