John L. Morrison (Jack)Managing DirectorIn 1989, Jack teamed up with longtime friends and former colleagues Mike Goldner and Van Hawn to found Goldner Hawn. As a senior partner, he remains involved in the firm's major strategic and investment decisions. Jack launched his career on Wall Street after earning degrees from Yale University and Harvard Business School. Following his tenure as Vice President at New York investment banking firm Kidder, Peabody & Co., he returned to the Midwest in 1976 when he was recruited by the Pillsbury Company. Over the next 15 years, Jack held positions in finance, international operations and ultimately, as Executive Vice President of Pillsbury and Chairman of its U.S. Consumer Foods Group. In addition to his responsibilities at Goldner Hawn, Jack serves on several public and private boards, including the Presidential Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board in Washington, D.C., Hormel Corporation, Andersen Corporation and Goldner Hawn portfolio company Petermann Holding Co., LLC. Community board positions, past and present, include the YMCA, the Minneapolis Club and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. |
