We invest in established companies with a track record of solid performance and proven management teams. Our investments target middle market, Midwest-based businesses in a variety of industrial and consumer sectors.

We exercise a patient, longer-term hold period, ranging between three and seven years to maximize business performance and deliver a higher dollar-over-dollar return for our investors. Our transactional expertise permits us to consider the full spectrum of investment opportunities that fit our size, industry and geographic criteria. In every case, we enter into the transaction with a well-defined exit plan that includes a fully articulated investment thesis, value creation monitoring and targeted incremental returns on equity analysis.

GHJ&M focuses on making equity and equity-related investments in transactions with overall company enterprise values generally ranging from $25 million to $100 million. Over the past 20 years, we have invested $550 million (excluding institutional equity co-investments) in 30 platform portfolio companies in Marathon Funds I-V.
