We value the strong and long-standing relationships we have developed with our intermediaries, including investment banks, business brokers, financial institutions, hedge funds, lawyers and accountants. We work closely with our business intermediaries, investors and the management teams of our portfolio companies to jointly align our common business goals and financial objectives.

We target middle-market, Midwest-based companies with a track record of solid performance and proven management teams. We exercise a patient, longer-term hold period, ranging between three and seven years, to maximize business performance and deliver a higher dollar-over-dollar return for our investors. Our investment can take the form of majority equity investments, participating in management buy-outs, recapitalizations and on occasion minority equity investments. In every case, we enter into the transaction with a well-defined exit plan that includes a fully articulated investment thesis, value creation monitoring and targeted incremental returns on equity analysis.

Ninety percent of our acquisitions come from our spotlight industries: Food and Restaurant, Consumer Products and Retail, Transportation and Logistics, Precision Manufacturing, Healthcare and Outsourced Business Services. These industries capitalize on our investment team's knowledge and experience.
