Goldner Hawn Johnson & Morrison Incorporated is a private equity investment firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since our formation in 1989, we have produced excellent returns for our investors and our business partners. We take a long-term approach to investing, provide expertise in a wide range of business disciplines, and focus our efforts in industries and geographies where our experience and relationships give us a sustainable competitive advantage.

Over the past 20 years, the firm has invested approximately $670 million (including institutional equity co-investments) in 30 platform companies. To date our realized investments have generated an average internal rate of return of 23 percent. Our most recent fund, Marathon Fund V, was established in 2004 with $255 million of committed equity capital.

As of April 1, 2010, Goldner Hawn has divided into two distinct entities, Goldner Hawn Johnson & Morrison Incorporated and Goldner Hawn Private Equity, LP. The two firms pursue complementary yet distinct investment strategies that draw upon Goldner Hawn’s middle market, Upper Midwestern investment heritage.

Goldner Hawn Johnson & Morrison Incorporated (herein sometimes called “GHJ&M”) and Goldner Hawn Private Equity (herein sometimes called “GHPE”) share office space and administrative support staff. Unless there is a specific reference to one firm or the other, terms such as "we" herein refer to both GHJ&M and GHPE.
